EDUCATE THE ORPHANS
JUNE UPDATE 2026

Dear Friends, Sponsors and Supporters,
As always, we begin by saying thank you.
Everything you are about to read has been made possible because of your kindness, generosity and prayers. Every child fed, every school fee paid, every uniform purchased and every life changed is only possible because people like you have chosen to stand alongside Educate The Orphans.
Today we would like to share some of the latest news from Kenya and show you the impact your support continues to make.

TEN MORE CHILDREN GIVEN HOPE
Since January, Educate The Orphans has welcomed ten additional vulnerable children into our care.
At the start of the year we were informed about six children who desperately needed support. Just a few weeks later, we learned of another four children facing similar hardship.
These ten children are now receiving support through ETO's education, feeding and welfare programmes alongside the many other children already in our care. They now have access to schooling, food and the support network that every child deserves.
While each new child brings additional financial responsibility we continue to rely on God to meet this need. Every child deserves hope and the opportunity of an education.

NEW UNIFORMS AND CLOTHING FOR CHILDREN IN NEED
One of the saddest realities we encounter is that many children arrive with very little clothing.
Thanks to your support, we have recently been able to purchase new clothing and school uniforms for 69 children who were in urgent need.
For many of us, a school uniform is something we take for granted. For these children, receiving a uniform means being able to attend school with confidence, dignity and a sense of belonging.

A NEW VEHICLE FOR EDUCATE THE ORPHANS
For some time, our old vehicle had become increasingly unreliable. Constant repairs and breakdowns were not only expensive but also affected our ability to support children when they needed us most.
We are incredibly grateful to the two very generous donors whose donation enabled us to purchase a replacement vehicle.
This vehicle is far more than just transport. It allows us to deliver food to our schools and vulnerable children, transport supplies, visit children in remote areas and, when necessary, take children for urgent medical treatment.
In rural Kenya, reliable transport can literally be the difference between receiving help and being left without it.
Shortly after its purchase, the vehicle was officially dedicated and blessed by Bishop John Nyaga at our Mugunna Anna school.
To the donors who made this possible, thank you. Your generosity will benefit children for many years to come.

FOOD SECURITY - HARVEST TIME AT THE ETO FARM
One of the most important ways ETO works towards sustainability is through our farming programme.
We are delighted to report that we recently harvested 70 bags of maize from the ETO farm, with each bag weighing approximately 100kg.
Alongside this harvest, we have also purchased 109 bags of beans weighing approximately 90kg each.
This food will now be distributed amongst the children we support and the schools we work alongside, helping ensure that vulnerable children continue to receive nutritious meals despite ongoing challenges with drought, rising food prices and difficult economic conditions.
Food remains one of our largest ongoing expenses, so every successful harvest makes a significant difference.
We thank God for providing this harvest and for the continued support that enables us to feed children who would otherwise go hungry.

THANK YOU FROM OUR STUDENTS WHO COMPLETED THEIR STUDIES
In our previous update, we shared the wonderful news that several of our young people had successfully completed their studies.
We have since received letters from some of these students expressing their gratitude to Educate The Orphans and to the supporters who stood beside them throughout their educational journey.
Reading these letters is both humbling and inspiring.
Many of these young people came from circumstances where completing their education seemed impossible. Today they are looking towards brighter futures because somebody they may never meet chose to care.
To every sponsor, donor and supporter, these letters belong to you as much as they do to us.
Your generosity has helped transform lives.

SUPPORT FROM THE KENYAN GOVERNMENT
We are grateful to report that the Kenyan government recently provided KES 85,000 (approximately £500) to help schools strengthen security measures.
This follows concerns raised nationally after the tragic school dormitory fire in Kenya that resulted in loss of life and led to arrests of several students. You can read more about this incident by following this link below.
The funding will help schools improve safety and security arrangements, providing greater protection for children under their care.
We have also been thankful to receive additional support in the form of food assistance, helping supplement our feeding programmes during challenging times.
Many of our supporters regularly ask how they can pray for the children and staff connected with Educate The Orphans. We would be grateful if you would remember the following requests in your prayers:
- Pray for Livingstone, who recently required hospital treatment following a medical issue. We pray for wisdom for his doctors and a full recovery.
- Pray for Christopher Gicugu, who is currently receiving medication for heart-related health issues, alongside other medical issues
- Pray for peace and safety across Kenya as communities experience unrest and demonstrations in some areas (3 people were killed at anti-Ebola facility demonstrations)
- Pray for the continued health, safety and education of all the children under ETO's care.
- Give thanks to our Lord God that He continues to provide us with the resources we need to feed, educate and support every child He entrusts to us.
Thank You
May God bless you abundantly.
